Business And Management Research Paper
USE THE ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINE AND APPENDED MATERIALS appended at the end of this email as an attachment. And watch the videos. I will send you as a separate email a help session video that will walk you through the assignment. The attached documents and presentations are required reading; not suggestive, and some of the materials should appear in your research paper.
OPEN AND READ ALL THE AND APPENDED MATERIALS BELOW.
Note:
Beginning with this assignment, the rest of the assignments, except for the assignment for Week 7, will be learning by doing something, not reading about something. Also, this course is designed to teach as well as evaluate.
That means you should:
1) Read the Assignment Guidelines and Appended Materials that are sent to you each week via email.
2) Read the Assignment Guide and Watch items in the Canvas assignment module.
3) Do the assignment. (I will send you as a separate email a help session video that will walk you through this assignment.)
4) Search the internet for background to help you analyze the data.
IN THIS ASSIGNMENT, FOCUS ON THE FOUR WATCH ITEMS LISTED BELOW AND THE ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES. THE READING ASSIGNMENTS ARE FOR BACKGROUND INFORMATION, NOT AIDS TO THE ASSIGNMENT.
You must follow the instructions in the assignment guidelines and appended materials that are sent to you via email each week before you begin the assignment.
And you must integrate the assignment guidelines and appended materials that are sent to you each week with the appropriate assignments in Canvas.
The assignment guidelines are systemic step-by-step procedures that show you how meet specifications of the assignment.
If you just read the appropriate assignments in Canvas without integrating the assignment guidelines and appended that are sent to you each week with the appropriate assignments in canvas, you will not do well in this course.
The Assignment Guidelines MUST be followed precisely. (Don’t just do it, do it the way I require it to be done.) The assignment guidelines that are sent to you each week let you know the way each assignment should be done. They also communicate the required format and content.
Format must be followed because it gives your response professional tender. Format and content are inherently linked together, as format organizes any presentation. It is impossible to have one without the other. The format explains organizational structure of information while the content refers to the information presented in the body of a report/discussion. That is, format and content are used in scoring.
Your score will be based primarily on (1) the accuracy of the computations, (2) the presentation of a chart in a professionally looking format, and (2) the analysis of the data in the concluding analysis section.
Beginning with this assignment:
• YOU MUST SUBMIT THE EXCEL WORKSHEET(S) WITH ALL RESEARCH PAPER ASSIGNMENTS.
• YOU MUST USE THE ASSIGNED APPLIED RESEARCH FORMAT FOR THE RESEARCH PAPER. THEY WILL BE PROVIDED IN EACH ASSIGNMENT.
Again, I will send you as a separate email a help session video that will walk you through the assignment.
For this Module Assignment, students will compute and interpret three descriptive statistics–(1) the mean, (2) the standard deviation, and the Coefficient of Variation and write a four-page report comparing their findings between two states.
YOU WILL SUBMIT THE ASSIGNMENT AS A RESEARCH MEMO.
The paper content should consist of:
(1) At least two pages describing the value of the mean and the standard deviation how they can be used to analyze budgets.
(2) Analysis of the value of the mean and the standard deviation of two sets of data based on the information provided below. The table should show the means, standard deviations, and coefficient of variation for the total income taxes and total sales taxes for State A and State B. (See How to analyze the mean and standard deviation and compare the two data sets below.)
(3) Use the Revenue Analysis Template to present the data in your report.
I understand that this course probably is unlike most of the courses that you have taken recently. If in doubt as to what I am asking you to do and/or do not understand the instructions, ask me as frequently as necessary before submitting the assignment.
Consequently, I suggest that you send me a copy of your computations and paper before you submit them via the canvas gradebook. While I will not score them, I will critique your potential submissions and let you know if you are on the right track so that corrections can be made if you are not on the right track. However do not wait until Saturday or Sunday, as I may not be available to critique your submissions.
