Order Maslows Contributions to Personality

Students are required to choose a personality theorist that was discussed in this course and write a five to seven (5 –7) page American Psychological Association (APA) style format research paper. The APA style format only needs to include a title page, the body of the paper, and a reference page. The title page and reference page are NOT included in the page limit. The body of the paper is required to meet the five to seven (5-7) page limit.

Please make sure to complete the research paper following directions from the APA manual (first textbook recommended in the bibliography of this syllabus) of how to space after sentences, font to use for text, format of the title page, how to internally cite works used, how to format the body of the research paper, how to format the reference page, etc. Please discuss your chosen theorist’s main contribution to personality (i.e. Sigmund Freud and his psychosexual stages).

You will be required to use a minimum of three (3) references/resources/works cited (at least two (2) MUST be research articles) not used in this class in formulating the research paper. In writing this research paper, you must address the following three (3) questions

1) What was your chosen theorist’s major contribution to personality?

2) How has your chosen theorist’s contribution shaped the way we understand personality today?

3) Does the theorist’s major contribution alter how people explain/view various cultural ways of life?(These are the specific areas that MUST be addressed gender/sex, race/ethnicity, religious affiliation, and sexual orientation.
