5-7 sources from library- question for you- should i give you a list of a bunch of sources on the topic, as the paper needs to have sources
7-11 pages in length, including works cited
Abstract (1 paragraph)- context, background info, what will this topic be about
Method (1 paragraph)- describe who I interviewed, their background, credentials, etc.- don’t use real name- use initials of a person
Regarding the interview aspect, it does not have to be a real person and can be made up information, and you can also have it be a focus group instead of an interview, with non real people (if focus group may flow better in essay). If doing a focus group, have a general description of the people in the focus group in the method paragraph.
[Main body of essay]- organize main body by having various themes or subheadings of the research topic, and in each theme or subheading, have paragraphs that analyze sources from the library, in addition to quoting and analyzing the interviewee. Not every paragraph necessarily needs to have quotes from sources and interviewee transcription- but interviewee/focus group quotes and analysis is more of the focus because it is a qualitative research paper
As an example of a body theme, you can have a subheading, followed by a paragraph explaining the theme, using and analyzing source(s), followed by another paragraph explaining the interviewee’s view
[End of essay]- Paragraph(s) on own thoughts, summary, what I learned from researching this topic- this should not take up more than ¾ of a page
Annotated Bibliography- short summary of each source- separate file from essay
