Film Analysis Assignment
Chapter 9 addresses sex, sexuality and romance among adolescence. As discussed in this chapter, one of the transitions from adolescence to adulthood includes engaging in sexual relationships. Because these young people are inexperienced, they appeal to friends, peers, and television to learn about sex. For this assignment, watch the independent short film, Wet Dreams, and address each of the following in an organized APA formated essay:

1. Introduce the film, provide a brief summary that highlights the adolescent issues the film addresses (2 points)

2. Describe and explain the connections you see between the assigned chapter and the film. Does the film support or go beyond the explanations provided in the textbook about sex and adolescence (Make specific reference to the text using APA in-text citations) (7 points)?

3. Discuss your personal reaction to the film. Explain how the film made you feel and discuss the thoughts it raised for you about sex and sexuality during adolescence (4 points)

4. Compared to other coming-of-age films that draw attention to sex and adolescence, does this film offer a different or a new perspective? (3 points)

5. As a future adolescent psychologist, counselor, social worker, or educator, how would you use this film to help adolescents explore sex, sexuality and love? (2 points)

Submission guidelines:

1. Please submit your paper in a Word format, 12point font, and double-spaced. Use an essay format with multiple paragraphs.

2. Use APA guidelines (title page, in-text citations, reference page, include textbook and film reference) (2 points)

3. The paper should be no more than 5 pages, including title and reference page

Grading:

Your paper will be graded based on the following
Addressed all questions in a well-organized essay format
Correctly implemented and used APA cover page, in-text citation and reference page.
The essay has a thesis statement, sentences are clear and concise, and ideas are presented in a logical order.
Supporting evidence is provided when prepositions are made.
Introductory paragraphs are indented, and paper is double-spaced.
