Reflection Essay –

After the game ends, each student (individual assignment) should submit a reflection essay for his/her company and experiences.

The grade will reflect the expectation the student presents evidence of understanding, integration of concepts, and address the following elements.  The primary objective is to provide the student an opportunity to reflect and integrate your learning experience in this course.

In other words, included within this reflection is a need to critically evaluate company performance and exhibit understanding; and describe how your leadership style changed, or not, over the course. This assignment should be presented in a professional manner.

The key issues to contemplate are:

 It is expected that you provide candor in this observation.

o   Identify specific goals / objectives that were to be achieved in the simulation (or missed).

o   Exhibit evidence of understanding how well your firm linked its routine tactical decisions to the long-term strategy and objectives. Describe what worked well and what did not work well from the intended strategic approach to actual performance. (Consider adding strategic tools to support the evaluation)

o   Was there tension between being the manager-leader you wish to be, as described at the beginning of the semester, and how you conducted yourself as a member of the simulation executive team and as a decision-maker?  Where were there disappointments and areas of pride in your leadership behavior?  In light of the contextual exercise at the beginning of the semester, and your experiences this semester, what will you change, if anything, about yourself and how you will act as a manager and leader in the future?  Explain.

o   Use of data (charts and graphs) is strongly suggested and should be referenced as necessary.

Remark:

It was a simulation business game, and there were 4 groups. I am in A company (Active Feet). I attached some date (charts and graphs) for your reference, you can use some of them into the essay.

Additionally, there is a group review of this game which includes our mission and strategies for running this company that will give your a background of “my company”, but pls kindly noted  your  reflection essay can not be the same or  similar as this one. Thank you.
