Instructions for Research Paper

Things to remember:

You already have a topic. If you are unsure of your topic, check out the list provided on Moodle.
Everything is supposed to be done in APA format, including in-text citations and Reference page.
Make sure you follow the instructions:

Your paper should include the following Sections (please have them in this order also).

Title Page
Abstract: Make sure it is 90-120 words
Introduction: Introduce your subject or paper. (1-2 pages)
(Body of the paper … you provide the title): This is the main part of your paper. Make sure the body of your paper explains your topic thoroughly.You may have many sub-titles in this section.(multiple pages)
Biblical Example: This is where you find someone in the Bible who wrestled with your issue. Not a verse, but a real person who dealt with the same issue you are covering.

1. Briefly discuss the issue and how the person dealt with the problem.
2. Be sure to give the Biblical references for your example. If you are having problems finding a Biblical character ask a pastor or other spiritual mentor for an example.
3. This should take about. (1-2 pages)
Possible Areas of Research: Include a section of your paper to possible areas of research regarding your issue or topic. As you read the literature you will note areas of your subject that are missing from the literature. Note these areas. You may say, “In the area of _________ (fill in your topic right here), there has been little research done in the area of _________________.”
1. I am asking you to think critically about areas in the literature that need to be clarified through research and/or analysis. Discuss your thoughts briefly explaining why research in that area would be a positive thing for that field of study. (1-2 pages)
How I Can Apply This to My Life
1. Discuss at least three areas of your life/career where this information can benefit you and improve your quality of life. (1-3 pages)
Conclusion
1. Summarize your paper in a paragraph or more.

1. Use APA format

Citations:

You must have a minimum of 12 outside sourcesfrom professional journals, textbooks, or personal interviews with an athlete. Include yourtextbook and the Bible.
Your sources must include at least 3 sources which were not obtained from the Internet, i.e., you interviewed someone or you read a book and/or journal/magazine.
You must also cite the textbook and give one Biblical example that illustrates your point or describes your subject.

Miscellaneous Instructions:

Use Times New Roman, 12 font, 1 inch margins all around.
Your paper must be a minimum of 12FULL pages, excluding cover page, abstract, tables, charts, and reference list.
Make sure you cite all of your sources IN the text you are writing.
Submit your paper in a professional format, i.e. folder, plastic slips, etc.
