Also, the study sought to measure the overall aptitude and practicality of addiction counselors using CBT for depression. The article concludes the study yielded an increase in patient compliance (increase of 10%) and an improvement in mental health (74%). Overall, the study found that addiction counselors had a strong aptitude for CBT and suggested that more counselors utilize CBT in both group and individual settings.
