WEEK 4 DISCUSSION
RESPOND TO A PEER:
The Comprehensive Health Record is a one-stop-shop with the conjunction of the Electronic Medical Record and the Electronic Health Record they are interdependent. The CMR allows continuity of care regardless of where the patient is seen. Accountable Care Organizations from the research that I’ve found is for people that use Medicare. We are all aware that Medicare is for the people that are 65 years old and older. The ACO requires funding to continue utilizing it which depends on the economy. think the problem with CHR is that the data is only as good as the person that enters it. The electronic data is awesome but if it’s not in the system, it never happened.
Week 6 Discussion

• In the next 5–10 years, health-care systems will face critical staffing shortages. HCOs are struggling to recruit and retain qualified health-care providers and nurses. What are the health-care trends in the market where you live? Are they consistent with national trends? Are there shortages of health-care providers? If so, describe them.
o Start researching with your state department of health care and find your local health department. Many will have reports on the state of the health of the local population, including access to care.
• Respond to at least one of your classmates. What are some of the causes of these shortages? How can these shortages be addressed outside of offering financial bonuses? Support your response with researched data from the past year.
WEEK 7 DISCUSSION

• Health-care organizations utilize an increasing number of types of health-care personnel, each with their own set of credentialing, licensure, and certification requirements. Nurses are the largest category, but advanced practice levels are developing for many categories of providers. Shortages are growing. Human resource management is critical and involves administrative and strategic elements. Environmental forces are impacting human resource management. Choose two environmental forces, and describe and provide suggestions on how they might best be addressed through human resource management initiatives/actions (Chapter 12, Table 12-1, p. 324).
• Respond to at least one of your classmates. What are two risks of the solutions that your classmate described in their post?

o Take advantage of the pre-deadline grading for the discussions. If you make two posts before Sunday night your instructor will grade your discussion board. Go view your feedback and if you are not at full credit, go back and add what is needed for full credit and your instructor will update your grade. WEEK 4 DISCUSSION
RESPOND TO A PEER:
The product I chose for this week’s assignment is Nike basketball shoes. Their two leading competitors are Adidas basketball shoes and Reebok basketball shoes. The reason Adidas and Reebok remain in competition with Nike is that they offer additional product lines as well such as clothing apparel, perfumes, and accessories. Nike basketball is unique because its unique selling proposition is, “Just Do It!” They take chances that no other competitors are willing to take. They sell more than products, they sell aspirations and people look for aspiration to accept change. Adidas and Reebok tend to play it safe and stick within the norm and sell the standard necessities.
WEEK 5 DISCUSSION
RESPOND TO A PEER:
For this week’s discussion, I chose McDonald’s. When I think of McDonald’s, I think about the golden arch, the hot french fries, hot fudge sundae, the Big Mac, a happy meal, and Ronald McDonald. I feel happy, excited, and ready to eat. Growing up in the ’80s, my grandparents use to take me to get a happy meal every Sunday after church and I was so excited about it and when I take my kids to McDonald’s, I get that same feeling I had back then. I use to collect the toys they gave in the happy meal, like the Californa Raisins and the glass cups with the McDonald’s characters on it. like the Hamburgler, Gremis, the chicken nuggets, and Ronald McDonald.
The marketers have created these feelings and thoughts for McDonald’s by having feel-good marketing. The brand uses the “I’m Lovin’ It” slogan to draw in an emotional feeling towards its customers. The brand is fun and playful. McDonald’s draws in people from all over the world. Children who can’t read even get excited and happy feelings, by just seeing McDonald’s golden arches. I believe that McDonald’s marketing strategy is an awesome strategy because it’s fun, exciting, and playful. Their emotional connection is designed for families and children, super convenience, and affordable prices.

Businesses commonly use celebrities to endorse their products, meaning they feature a celebrity in the commercial holding the product, using the product, or talking about the product features. Other times businesses have the celebrity wear the product or talk about how they use the product in their everyday lives.
With this concept in mind, select one of the following celebrities to endorse Diet Pepsi in an attempt to reach the young people between the ages of 12–19?
• Dwayne Johnson
• Jimmy Fallon
• Cardi B
• Kelly Clarkson
Respond to the following:
• Why did you choose this celebrity? How does this celebrity align to the target market?
• Which media channels would you use to reach the target market with this celebrity endorser? How would you get your celebrity to actually endorse the product, based upon the discussion board introduction?
