Write a research paper of about nine pages plus the works-cited pages on the occupational career you posted on the “June 29 Research Paper Topic Posts.”  In your paper, be sure to address the qualifications for the career, the duties and work conditions in the career, and the compensation in the career, including ways a person in this career can make a difference in the world. All the information in your research paper should come from research you do for this assignment.  Make sure all your sources are reliable.  Do not change careers for this assignment even though you may need to narrow or broaden your career based on the material you find.  For instance, if you choose the career “third grade teacher” but can find only enough material to write on “elementary school teacher,” then broaden your topic to “elementary school teacher.”  If you choose “physician” and find enough material to write your paper just on “dermatologist,” narrow your topic to “dermatologist.”  Generally, the more narrow the topic (in this case, career), the better as long as you can fully support your paper.

Please type your paper in the eighth edition of Modern Language Association (MLA) style, in size 12 Times New Roman black font.  Except in direct quotations, please stick to third person and do not use contractions.  Please use no more than two block quotations.  Please be ready to peer review your complete paper by July 28.  The final version is due August 5. Please submit the peer review and final version in pdf and use file upload.
