Constantine uses religion in order to gain politic power. Constantine is preying on his subjects’ Christian beliefs, in order to portray himself as being chosen by God. This portrayal of being divinely chosen causes Christian Roman people to follow Constantine, as he represents their belief system. By doing this, Constantine is gaining loyal followers, which causes him to gain an incredible amount of political power.
