Leadership Essay

Read “Ethics In Business” (Attached).
The purpose of this assignment is to identify and evaluate the role of a leader in today’s world. The student will reflect upon the personal values and perspectives of individuals whom the student considers to be leaders. The student will then conduct three (3) interviews with leaders from business, church, government, or education using the following questions:

How would you describe your leadership style? What do you value most as a leader?
How do you get others to accept your ideas?
What are the most difficult decisions to make?
How do you encourage the development of your employees/those you lead?
What has been your greatest learning moment that has affected the way you lead?

The student will then prepare a written essay (3-5 typed pages, double spaced, Times New Roman) reflecting on the prompts listed below and by incorporating insights from the article as well as other texts from class. Resources must be cited in APA format.

Please list the name, position, and association/organization for each leader you interviewed.
What servant leadership characteristics did you observe in the individuals you interviewed? (Please cite specific examples the individuals gave and make connections to the article/other texts.)
What responses surprised you most from the individuals you interviewed?
What did you learn from your research that can influence the way you lead?
