Assignment
In this assignment, you will prepare a brochure appropriate for distribution to mental health centers, senior facilities, doctors’ offices and/or other direct care facilities. The brochure will emphasize the importance of appropriately communicating with persons of other cultures in a health care setting.
Within the brochure, briefly mention the federal rules that apply to this and provide guidelines for communicating with two ethnic groups of your choice. Be sure to include information on the importance of verbal and nonverbal communication, as well as the meanings, such as stigma attached to physical or mental illness, that may apply to that culture.
You may use illustrations, graphics, and special formatting such as bullet points, to enhance your product. Your brochure should end with a list of at least five resources, including both the material you referred to when writing the brochure and any other resources that might be of use to the persons reading the brochure.
Length: 2-4 pages, including at least five resources
