Whether you meet students who live around the world or around the corner, you will find that they have different perspectives borne from their own lived experiences. Your neighbors near and far will help you develop and hone your understanding and application of diversity, equity, and inclusion through design.
You will also explore your own motivation for engaging in your degree program. What brought you back to school? Is your return [to school] related to any economic, employment, educational, or other trends you have noticed? Whatever the degree program in which you are engaged, and whatever you already know or don’t know about ID, connecting with other educators and designers is a good idea. Read the introductions of others in this community; what similarities and differences do you see?
